Failure investigation and analysis the root cause

Test Provided

Performing by ELCID V5.5 EVOLUTION, is purpose to analysis the integrated core lamination quality in response to the hotspot entire the stator core lamination.

Performing with DELTA 4000 or CPC 100, is purpose to analysis the insulation winding quality in response to the void content due to insulation delamination and corona protection degradation in the slot region and end-winding areas

To analysis the ageing phenomenon in the winding insulation system due to moist absorption by applying injecting and releasing the current at low voltage for 1000 seconds.

Performing with impact energy instrument, is purpose to analysis the wedge loose tight in the slot, looseness these parts can causing insulation winding damaged due to free movement in the slot.ent

To analysis the end winding bracing and support, in response the end winding vibration due to electromagnetic force at tangential and radial direction.

DC Ramp / DC Current Leakage test: is purpose to analyzing the insulation tensile strength properties by applying DC voltage at each phase to ground with level max [80%*((2E+1)*1.7)] volts dc.

Black-out inspection is as part of a the HV generators and or HV motors inspection program.

This is a traditional offline inspection where the stator is placed in complete darkness, each phase is energized to 115% of rated line-to-neutral voltage, and both ends of the stator are observed to determine the presence, location and severity of endwinding surface partial discharges (PD).

The setup for the test may be complex and risky due to the need for observers to be standing in darkness close to the energized parts of the stator.

To observe the PD activity visualization we used an UV (ultra violet) camera, than the PD activity recorded and quantified through simultaneous offline PD measurements. and can be performing at indoor with ambient lighting and or outdor.

Recorded images and or video of the observed discharges and measured PD activity in the stator winding used to compare the evaluation by others test method.
