STATOR WINDING OF GENERATORS AND  MOTORS

  • ELCID (Electromagnetic Core Imperfection Detection) test, performing by ELCID V5.5 EVOLUTION, is purpose to analysis the integrated core lamination quality in response to the hotspot entire the stator core lamination.
  • Dissipation Factor Tan Delta test : up to 12 kV test: performing with DELTA 4000 or CPC 100, is purpose to analysis the insulation winding quality in response to the void content due to insulation delamination and corona protection degradation in the slot region and end-winding areas.

  • Partial Discharge Probe test: performing with IRIS PPM 97 test: is purpose to analysis Partial Discharge activities due to surface discharge and slot discharge.
  • PDCA (Polarisation Depolarisation Current Analysis) test: is purpose to analysis the ageing phenomenon in the winding insulation system due to moist absorption by applying injecting and releasing the current at low voltage for 1000 seconds.
  • FDS (Frequency Domain Spectroscopy) test: is purpose to analyzing the ageing phenomenon in the winding insulation by injecting very wide frequency with sweeping frequency from 5kHz drop to 100mHz.
  • DC Current Leakage test: is purpose to analyzing the insulation tensile strength properties by applying DC voltage at each phase to ground with level max [80%*((2E+1)*1.7)] volts dc.
  • Surge Comparison test: is to purpose to analysis the strand turns and turns insulation stator winding, surge comparison is apply for the multi turn insulation winding.
  • Contact coefficient or coupling resistance test: is purpose to analysis the continuity of the corona protection on the stator winding by measuring the resistance at core exit and or at the slot region when the stator wedge removal
  • Natural frequency or bump test: is purpose to analysis the end winding bracing and support, in response the end winding vibration due to electromagnetic force at tangential and radial direction.
  • Core tightening inspection test: is purpose to analysis the core compression in the stator frame, high hum and core defective may occurred if the stator core was experienced looseness.
  • SWA (Stator Wedges Analysis) test: performing with impact energy instrument, is purpose to analysis the wedge loose tight in the slot, looseness these parts can causing insulation winding damaged due to free movement in the slot.
  • Endoscopic inspection: is purpose to inspect the abnormalities condition the stator winding insulation in the slot region such as partial discharge tracking, by inserting the micro camera through the stator ventilating holes.
  • IR / PI (Insulation Resistance and Polarization Index) test: is purpose to analyzing the winding condition due to moist and contaminant effect.
  • DC Resistance test: is purpose to analyzing the continuity and balance resistance copper winding in the stator at each phase.
  • Ring Flux test: is purpose to analysis the stator core condition due to imperfection of the core pressure and hot spot due to interlamination defective, by injecting the flux in the stator core at 70% – 100% flux required at least 1 hour, than measure the temperature and vibration of the core.

ROTOR OF GENERATORS AND MOTORS

  • RSO (Recurrent Surge Oscillosgraph) test: is purpose to analysis the short turn insulation for the rotor turbo generator or cylindrical pole rotor, RSO is NOT valid for salient pole rotor generator.
  • DC Pole Balance Drop test: vis purpose to analysis the balance DC resistance between pole rotor, by injecting low voltage with high current in to the rotor winding
  • AC Pole Balance and AC Impedance test: is purpose to analyzing the balance impedance of the rotor pole by injecting the AC voltage with max 120 VAC at 10 or 11 step level voltage.
  • Surge Comparison test: is purpose to analyzing the short inter turn and inter strand insulation winding, NOT valid for rotor turbo generator or cylindrical pole rotor.
  • DC Resistance test: is purpose to analysis the continuity copper winding resistance.
  • IR / PI ( Insulation Resistance and Polarization Index) test: is purpose to analysis the dryness and cleanliness the insulation winding due to contaminant and moist absorption.
  • Endoscopic inspection: is purpose to inspect the rotor part that not accessible by hand, normally the rotor part underneath of the retaining rings for turbo generator.
  • Grawler inspection: is purpose to analysis the rotor bars of the motor squirrel cage.
  • NDT inspection: is purpose to inspect the mechanical parts to obtain from micro crack on the journal shaft, retaining rings, bearings, salient pole rotor damper, squirrel cage rotor bar joint to end ring, rotor fans, rotor coupling, etc. NDT can be performing by Dye Penetrant, UT, Eddy current, X ray, phase array, etc, depending the site condition.
  • Exciter rotor inspection: in general for the exciter is much more simple than rotor winding or stator winding, normally to be test for IR/PI, DCR and Surge comparison
  • Exciter stator inspection: similar with the rotor exciter, test normally done by test IR/PI, DCR
  • Rotating diodes inspection: is purpose to analysis the diodes breakdown resistance, by measuring the reverse and forward resistance.
